Cognitive Skills Classes are designed for a higher level of care for individuals facing serious issues in life. The program is a commitment of 12- 24 weeks of group therapy that addresses faulty thinking and assists with thought and behavior restructuring. Clients in the cognitive skills classes are urged to process lifelong traumatic issues within a group setting with a specialized therapist. Most clients benefit tremendously from the therapeutic process and begin realizing self-actualization, independence, and happiness. The goal of Cognitive Skills Classesis to help modify behaviors that have hindered growth and personal development. One key ingredient in the Cognitive Skills Classes is the power of the group to help each other. Cognitive Skills Classes can help someone who is suffering from feelings of isolation and terminal uniqueness see reflections of themselves in the people around them. Cognitive Skills Classes are a comprehensive program that is catered to getting to the root of the problems in our lives as opposed to simply dealing with the surface level issues.
A mental health assessment is used to determine whether there's an issue that needs intervention. The purpose of this assessment is to assess the severity of the issue(s) and to detect any co-occurring disorders (medical or psychiatric). The assessment is a 30–45-minute consultation that determines if you need treatment, and if you do, how much you need. We evaluate personal history, work history, attitude, emotional stability through personal interview and assessment tools. Your mental health coach will discuss the results of the evaluation with you, and based on the findings, recommend a course of action. Due to COVID-19, all assessments are done virtual or face to face. Payments are made via square or PayPal and payment is due before assessment can begin.
